Welcome to the home page of AFSCME Local 2440. AFSCME Local 2440 is the largest union representing employees of the county government of Scott County in Minnesota.  It is our hope that our members  will find this web site useful in providing a convenient way to get information about their Union, as well as providing an easy and effective way for the Union leadership to maintain contact with the membership.

Our Mission

It is our mission to provide our membership with the best possible representation in regard to all issues relevant to working for Scott County. We are focused on the areas of wages, benefits, employment opportunities, and working conditions. We are determined to provide these services in an efficient, democratic, and cost effective manner; affirming the importance of the work that we do, the individual and collective value of our membership, and the importance and needs of the clients that we have the privilege to serve.
